First Look: Beretta A300 Ultima Patrol Shotgun with Chisel Stock

Beretta USA has just launched a new version of its A300 Ultima Patrol that comes equipped with Chisel Machining’s aftermarket metal pistol-grip equipped stock.

The A300 Ultima Patrol is a semi-automatic tactical and defense 12-gauge shotgun based on Beretta’s most-trusted gas-operated semi-automatic shotgun actions. Beretta launched the A300 Ultima Patrol in 2023, with the shotgun making its first public appearance at SHOT Show. These shotguns were introduced to offer Beretta’s customers a more affordable but still high-quality tactical shotgun other than the company’s flagship 1301 Tactical shotgun series. Though both the A300 Ultima Patrol and the 1301 Tactical have a lot in common, the latter uses a different gas operated action and its barrel is more expensive to manufacture.

The Chisel Machining Stock on this A300 Variant consists of a unit which fastens to the rear of the A300 receiver that not only provides a slot to mount an AR-15 pattern pistol grip. There is also an optics mounting base which accommodates any red-dot sight that uses the popular Trijicon RMR footprint, along with an integrated cheek guard. The rear portion of the Chisel Machining stock mates with the rear assembly that consists of a complimentary aluminum span with a thick Kick-Eez recoil pad. The rear of the Chisel stock can be moved along the mounting holes to adjust the shotgun’s length of pull. The result is a robust and well-crafed modern aluminum skeletonized shotgun pistol grip stock that helps to mitigate recoil while also providing an optics mounting solution that is independent from the receiver.

“The A300 Ultima Patrol Chisel Stock takes an already outstanding tactical shotgun and gives users the kind of adjustability and ergonomic fit you usually only see on custom builds,” said Dina Sanders, Beretta USA Marketing Manager. “It’s a no compromise solution for professionals and defenders who demand total control.”
