Hunting stories stay eternally ingrained in our minds. Photos help keep those memories alive past our lifetimes (and also make you stay a bit more honest about how big that buck really was). Whether it’s from a trip long ago or a more recent hunt from this past season, it’s fun to look at an image and be transported right back into that moment.
You’ve seen us in the field plenty—now we want to see your hunting stories, as well as fishing, foraging, or cooking-over-a-fire tales. That’s why we’re running the second annual MeatEater Photo Contest, because we want to see how you enjoy the outdoors.
Upload your favorite photo in the comment section below for a chance to win a $50 or $500 gift card to First Lite. To enter the contest, all you have to do is drop a photo in the comment section below. You can also include a brief story if you’d like to add some background.
If you don’t already have one, you will need to make an account on the site to comment and upload photos. Also, please only upload one photo per day. The contest will run from Wednesday, November 19, to Wednesday, November 26. You can upload photos any time during that week to be considered for a prize.
We’ll be picking a random-draw Daily Winner who will receive a $50 First Lite gift card. The Crew Pick Winner and Overall Winner (People’s Choice) will each receive a $500 gift card. The Overall Winner will be determined by the photo that receives the most votes by the end of the week. To vote for your favorite images, just click the thumbs-up icon.
