XS Sights has launched a version of its XS Minimalist night sights compatible with Heckler & Koch’s CC9 pistols, making them one of the few aftermarket sight options for this new compact 9mm carry pistol.
The CC9 is Heckler & Koch’s polymer-frame, striker-fired micro-9mm double-stack pistol. While this gun has a similar form and function to many of its peers, the protocols and standards it had to pass is what sets this handgun apart. Heckler & Koch subjected all CC9 test prototypes to the same reliability and durability standards as its full-size, duty-oriented pistols like the HK P30 and the HK VP9. Heckler & Koch claims that over 750,000 rounds of 9mm ammunition were fired during the development cycle of the HK CC9 before it was finally brought to market.
“By collaborating with Heckler & Koch on dimensions and fit, we built a set of pistol sights that installs easily and stands up to hard use,” said Jeff King, Marketing Manager, XS Sights. “Between the low-profile sight picture and the Black Nitride finish, the Minimalist OR delivers reliable performance and long-term durability. The Black Nitride surface finish on the Minimalist OR offers twice the corrosion resistance of traditional black oxide treatments, ensuring superior durability and long-lasting performance.”
As the name implies, XS Sights Minimalist sights are low profile iron sights designed around defensive carry guns. Though low profile and snag free, the rear sight still has a wide notch and the front sight includes a tritium lamp.
