First Look: Woox AK-47 Furniture

Italian firearms furniture company WOOX has just released stocks and handguards compatible with Kalashnikov pattern rifles and carbines. This new product line is known as the WOOX Forty-Seven series. The lineup includes two different rifle stock options, a pistol grip and two separate handguards.

One of WOOX’s signature moves is including hardwoods in its products, and the WOOX Forty-Seven line is no exception. The stock set includes a walnut stock and a modern low-profile stock. Both have the ability to fold to the side, like the classic AKS-74 and AK-100 series stocks.

WOOX’s AK-47 handguards also incorporate walnut in addition to M-Lok slots. WOOX makes these handguards in the standard length, or an extended length that provides extra coverage over the rifle’s barrel area. The upper portion of WOOX AK handguards includes a metal cover with venting slots to draw heat away from the gas tube and piston housing.

The WOOX Forty-Seven grip is also made from American walnut, and it’s profiled and textured for comfort and durability.

“The WOOX Forty-Seven line is designed for shooters who demand precision, innovation and style,” said Ben Fleming, CEO of WOOX USA. “The Forty-Seven brings a new level of refinement to one of the world’s most iconic rifles.” Fleming goes on to say, “The AK has earned its place in history for its reliability and ruggedness. Our goal was to give it the look, feel, and performance worthy of the WOOX name.”

The WOOX Forty-Seven Lineup

  • Forty-Seven Woody Fixed Stock: $219
  • Forty-Seven Woody Folding Stock: $299
  • Forty-Seven Edge Fixed Stock: $169
  • Forty-Seven Edge Folding Stock: $229
  • Forty-Seven Woody Stock, Grip and Handguard Kit: $479
  • Forty-Seven Edge Stock, Grip and Handguard Kit: $479

WOOX’s products are made in Italy. In addition to covering AK-47 furniture, WOOX also crafts stocks and grips for other shotguns and rifles too. Forty-Seven products can be purchased individually or as bundled kits.
