First Look: SIG Sauer Hexium Suppressors

First Look: SIG Sauer Hexium Suppressors

SIG Sauer just unveiled its new Hexium suppressor line, which consists of modern 3-D printed, (additive manufactured) low backpressure “flowthrough” style units. In addition to the low backpressure design, SIG Sauer Hexium units are HUB-compatible, making them adaptable to a wide variety of firearms.

Internally, SIG Sauer Hexium suppressors feature a unique pattern of mazes and chambers that vent and redirect gas throughout the suppressor body and exhaust them at the front. This reduces the backpressure, soot, fouling, unburned propellant and other harmful byproducts that are the result of modern smokeless propellant.

SIG Sauer uses materials such as nickel-based Inconel or titanium to complete Hexium suppressors. At launch, SIG Sauer is offering four dedicated models for 5.56 NATO firearms along with variants optimized for .300 BLK and .308 Win.
