First Look: Reptilia AR-15 Handguard

Reptilia Corp, best known for its high-end, single-piece, tactical-riflescope mounts, has recently released a modern and sleek AR-15 pattern handguard.

Simply called the Reptilia Handguard, Reptilia manufactures these M-Lok-based handguards and offers them in black or flat dark earth anodizing from 6061 extruded aluminum, built in four different lengths to suit a wide range of AR-15 carbine, large-format pistol and SBR configurations. These lengths include 9.4 inches, 10.5 inches, 13 inches and 15 inches.

Like most contemporary tactical M-Lok based handguards, the Reptilia Handguard is full of M-Lok slots and includes the customary full-length span of Picatinny rail on top for optics and other critical accessories.

“Every aspect of the Reptilia Handguard is designed with intent,” said The Reptilia Team. “We set out to create a handguard that delivers absolute stability while maintaining a slim, lightweight profile for serious end users.”

The Reptilia Handguard is manufactured with the best modern AR-15 assembly techniques in mind. It features anti-rotation tabs that work off the upper receiver to provide stability and rigidity. In addition, the Reptilia Handguard uses a proprietary barrel nut and turnbuckle design. These parts are the key that secures the handguard to the barrel and the receiver in a snug and secure manner. Each Reptilia Handguard ships with its own turnbuckle wrench, a tool specifically needed to secure the barrel nut and turnbuckle to the rifle’s receiver.

Reptilia M-LOK Handguard Features And Specifications:

  • Handguard Material: Extruded 6061 series aluminum
  • Handguard Finish: Class 2 hard anodizing, available in flat dark earth or black
