First Look: New AK Accessories From Arsenal

Arsenal, Inc. is one of the best-known brands in the U.S. for Kalashnikov and AK-pattern firearms market. The company has just launched three new AK focused accessories: A new AK flash-hider muzzle device, a new AK side-rail compatible optics mount and a new AK-compatible aluminum skeletonized side-folding stock.

Arsenal SM-23 Scope Mount

The Arsenal SM-23 Scope Mount clamps over the traditional Kalashnikov-pattern side rail and holds an optic over the receiver via a suspended 19-slot, 7.5-inch-long Picatinny rail. This low-profile AK scope mount is machined from a single piece of aluminum, and customers can purchase it in three different colors: anodized black, anodized plum and anodized green. The Arsenal SM-23 Scope Mount is also compatible with RPK and VEPR style rifle receivers. Arsenal SM-23s use a steel adjustable locking mechanism with a tension-adjustable quick-release system that provides a rock-solid hold, ensuring repeatable zero retention even after removal and reinstallation.

Arsenal Aluminum Side Folding Stock

Arsenal’s aluminum side folding stocks are a modern and more ergonomic take on the traditional and iconic AK triangular side folding stocks seen on Eastern-block AKs during the ’70s and ’80s. Unlike the original triangular shaped side folding stocks which fold to the left, Arsenal’s new units fold to the right on the same side as an AK’s ejection port. This allows the left side of the receiver to be clear in order to not interfere with an AK’s side rail  and/or side-rail optics mount. In addition to this, the new Arsenal Aluminum folding stock includes built-in QD (quick detach) sockets and also includes a low-profile rubber butt-pad. These stocks are compatible with Arsenal SAM7SF style receivers.

Arsenal Flash Hiders

Arsenal is also bringing back its classic AK 4-Piece flash hiders. These can be had for 5.56 NATO, 7.62x39mm and 5.45x39mm AK-pattern firearms. The Arsenal 4-Piece flash hider is designed to effectively neutralize the bright muzzle flash produced by short-barreled rifles or AK pistols. This flash hider features a threaded end cap that makes for easy maintenance and cleaning and is designed for AK variants with a caliber of 7.62x39mm or smaller. This flash hider is threaded for right-hand M24x1.5mm to be compatible with Krinkov-type front sight assemblies and/or gas blocks.
