First Look: Mission First Tactical Guardian OWB Modular Holster

Mission First Tactical recently unveiled the latest member of its Guardian holster series, the new Mission First Tactical Guardian OWB Modular Hole Pattern Light Bearing Holster. This new holster is designed to standard 9mm Glock pistols wit four-inch barrels, including the Glock G19 and Glock G45, as well as the Ruger RXM.

The Mission First Tactical Guardian OWB Modular Hole Pattern Light Bearing Holster relies on a powerful rare-earth neodymium management as its primary means of retention. Even though this is a light-bearing holster, this outside-the-waistband belt holster does not “grab” the attached tactical light’s body as some light-bearing holsters tend to do. Instead, the force of the magnet attracts and secures the muzzle of the firearm and holds it in place. Mission First Tactical calls this its ILMRS (In-Line Magnetic Retention System).

The Mission First Tactical Guardian OWB Modular Hole Patter Light Bearing Holster is also compatible with mounting hardware which uses the Safariland-style three-hole pattern. The three-hole pattern is a pattern used by many other holster and accessory companies for holsters and related gear, including competition and tactical holster hangers and other belt-attachments. Thanks to this Modular Hole Pattern, this variant of the Mission First Tactical Guardian holster is now open to use that range of compatible accessories.

“The MFT Guardian MHP Light Bearing Holsters utilize an In-line Magnetic Retention System with a 15 pound maximum pull, strong Neodymium magnet to keep your firearm secure,” said David Edelman, vice president of Mission First Tactical. “This system maintains fully loaded pistol in holster without any locking devices. Retention does not key off the (WML) Weapon Mounted Light.”
