First Look: Galco Pocket Protector For The S&W Bodyguard 2.0

First Look: Galco Pocket Protector For The S&W Bodyguard 2.0

Galco Gunleather has just rolled out a new version of its Pocket Protector pocket holster to suit the Bodyguard 2.0, Smith & Wesson’s smallest semi-automatic defensive-carry pistol chambered in 380 ACP. Released during the summer of 2024, the Bodyguard 2.0 made waves in the industry due to its efficient design that blends capacity with form factor. Thanks to its uniquely shaped magazines, these pistols have a capacity of either 10- or 12-rounds of .380 ACP ammunition.

When it comes to guns of a certain size, pocket carry can make sense. Galco’s Pocket Protector pocket holster series consists of an ambidextrous holster designed to fit in a pants or shorts pocket that’s made from center-cut steerhide leather. The Pocket Protector also features a rough external texture and a hooked tail in order to help it remain in place, especially during the draw. Most importantly, it’s designed to break up the outline of the pocketed pistol while also safely covering its trigger guard. Reinforcements at the holster mouth and beneath the trigger guard keep the holster stiff enough to allow a smooth draw. It also allows for a smooth return to the holster. The Galco Pocket Protector’s hooked tail, which is located directly behind the handgun’s trigger guard area, catches on the pocket. With practice, you can draw the firearm while the holster remains in your pocket.

Galco Pocket Protector Features

  • Premium center-cut steerhide
  • Metal reinforced mouth for easy release of the firearm
  • Conceals the shape of the handgun
  • Keeps firearm upright in pocket
  • Covers the trigger for use in backpacks/purses, console, nightstand, etc.
  • Hooked shape and rough-out texture retain holster in pocket on draw

The Galco Gunleather Pocket Protector Holster for the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 retails for $44. To learn more about this holster or other holsters that Galco Gunleather sells, visit galcogunleather.com.
