First Look: Escort Shotguns BullTac Series

Escort is bolstering its pump-action BullTac shotgun product line by adding new and different models with different color options and additional tactical accents and accessories.

The Escort BullTac family of pump-action shotguns consists of a five-round, removable-magazine-fed shotgun chambered for 12 gauge, 20 gauge or .410-bore shotshells. Additionally, these Turkish-manufactured shotguns are built in bullpup configuration, which means that the action and receiver sit all the way to the rear, behind the shotgun’s grip and trigger guard. As a result, the shotguns’ 18-inch barrel sits further back in relation to the gun, which in turn results into a handier and more compact firearm that does not run afoul of legal barrel length restrictions. Besides having 18-inch-long barrels, all Escort BullTac pump action shotguns have chrome-lined bores with fixed cylinder chokes.

In addition to its standard five-shotshell capacity, Escort BullTac shotguns include a high-strength synthetic bullpup-style stock. In order to facilitate the mounting of optics, the stock also includes an integrated carry handle with a section of Picatinny rail. Additionally, Escort BullTac models include flip-up auxiliary sights. For ergonomic enhancements, an adjustable cheek rest is also part of its design. Other features present on BullTac bullpup pump-action shotguns include an ambidextrous safety, extended slide release, ergonomic fore-end for fast cycling and front and rear sling swivel mounts for easy carry. The shotgun weighs approximately 8 pounds with an overall length of 27.75 inches, making it a compact yet powerful option for a wide range of shooting scenarios.
