First Look: Beretta 92X RDO Inox

Beretta USA has recently launched a stainless-steel version of the Beretta 92X RDO Vertec model, the new Beretta 92X RDO Inox.

For over 30 years, Beretta has always included stainless-steel models, also known as “Inox” pistols alongside its standard Beretta 92 offerings. Besides the white stainless-steel slides over “white anodized” aluminum frames, Beretta 92 Inox pistols generally include contrasting small parts like the triggers, safeties, hammers and magazine catches in a black finish.

“The 92X RDO Inox is built for those who want reliability they can trust in any environment,” said Broxton Carlile, Beretta USA pistol product manager. “From the range to real-world defense, this pistol delivers performance, precision and durability in a sleek, modern package.”

As a member of Beretta’s current 92X RDO lineup, the new Beretta 92X RDO Inox model is built on Beretta’s Vertec frame and includes Beretta’s factory optics-ready RDO-cut slide to accept slide-mounted optics-mounting plates. Additionally, the new 92X RDO Inox’s slide includes forward slide serrations, something not typically seen on previous Beretta 92 Inox iterations. Otherwise, these pistols continue to rely on the tried-and-true 9mm Beretta traditional double action mechanism and locking block semi-automatic cycling system. The locking arrangement not only improves the feeding of ammunition, but it is very tolerant of a wide variety of 9mm ammunition varieties as well, from slower and heavier subsonic loads to +P defensive loads.

Beretta 92X RDO Inox Features:

  • Inox slide and barrel
  • Red dot optic ready slide
  • Beveled magazine well
  • Front slide serrations
  • Oversized magazine release button
  • Three-slot Picatinny rail
  • G-model decocker
  • Vertec frame with thin srips
  • Available with 18-, 15- and 10-round magazines

The new Beretta 92X RDO Inox model has a standard retail price that starts at $999. To learn more about this new Beretta handgun or the other rifles, pistols and shotguns sold by the Italian gunmaking giant, visit beretta.com.
