Xbox Player Voice has given gamers an opportunity to tell the company exactly what they want from its consoles and games, and it hasn’t taken long to come to a consensus. While one of the biggest wishes from Xbox fans is a return to exclusives, there are a few additional takeaways that can be gleaned from the top requests.

On May 18, Xbox introduced Xbox Player Voice, giving players a way to directly offer feedback to the company. While Xbox has noted that not every popular request will necessarily lead to a new feature, players will be able to see when their feedback has been reviewed by the team, and will be given updates if any changes or additions are made in response to feedback.

It took just a day for some clear patterns to emerge in the Xbox Player Voice feedback forum, with the clear-cut leading request being bringing back Xbox console exclusives. A player named Carlos Hernandez shared a request to bring them back, claiming that Xbox isn’t selling enough consoles because there’s no reason to buy them when the games can be bought and played on competing systems. Within a day, that request has received nearly 10,000 upvotes, and over a thousand comments.

The next-highest voted and commented piece of feedback is for Xbox to focus on backward compatibility again, allowing older games to be easily played on the Xbox Series X/S. That request has already racked up over 7,000 upvotes. Other popular suggestions include making online multiplayer free to access, instead of requiring a subscription to Xbox Game Pass, as well as separating Achievements for base games and their DLC, and introducing a family version of Xbox Game Pass for households that own several Xbox consoles.
