Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI): What You Need to Know

Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (SGLI) is a Department of Veterans Affairs program that provides low-cost life insurance coverage to eligible service members. Most military members are automatically enrolled in the maximum coverage amount of $500,000 unless they elect a lower amount or decline coverage.
