Thanks to a limited-time event, PS5 owners can get their hands on a DualSense controller at a discounted price and save tens of dollars.
PlayStation Days of Play has begun, bringing major discounts on PS5 and PS4 controllers through June 10. The sale includes deals on the standard PS5 DualSense controller, the premium DualSense Edge, and DualShock 4 controllers originally released for the PS4.
Days of Play is an annual promotion that typically runs for around two weeks and features a wide range of discounted products across the PlayStation Store. During the event, Sony may also roll out surprise freebies or community activities. It is widely considered one of the best times of the year to buy PlayStation hardware and software, as deals often cover everything from games and PS Plus memberships to consoles and accessories.
Save Up to $30 on PS5 and PS4 Controllers
Sony’s Days of Play event began on May 27 and runs until June 10. During the promotion, PS5 owners can grab the standard $74 DualSense controller for as low as $54. The premium DualSense Edge controller has also dropped from $199 to $169. Several limited-edition DualSense controllers are included in the sale as well, including a Marathon-themed model that normally costs $84 but is currently available for $64. Days of Play is also offering certified refurbished DualShock 4 controllers for $34, down from their usual $49 price.
While the DualShock 4 works with Sony’s current-gen console, PS5 games can only be played with DualSense controllers.
PS5 owners looking to save money on unique DualSense variants like Volcanic Red and Cobalt Blue may want to check Sony’s official refurbished products lineup. These restored wireless controllers go through what Sony describes as “a rigorous recertification process.” According to the company, certified refurbished products “work like new” and also include a one-year warranty alongside free delivery and returns. This is not the first time Sony has discounted refurbished hardware, as the company has been offering official restored PlayStation controllers and consoles for quite a while.
