Interesting news from Civivi this week: the company’s knives are now available to purchase at Wal-Mart locations across the U.S.
Four Civivi models have been selected from the company’s voluminous catalog for the Wal-Mart partnership. The first is the Elementum, which should come as no surprise; this EDC flipper is the signature Civivi folder and has been a strong seller since its release in 2019. The Elementum is joined by the Brazen, a mid-size user, the Qubit, an aluminum-handled EDC piece with a bottle opener blade tang, and the Mini Praxis, which is (as the name implies) a smaller version of that particular design, with a blade length about on par with the Elementum.
Civivi says that these knives will be available in every U.S. Wal-Mart location that stocks knives – that means 3,600 stores. We imagine most U.S. knife enthusiasts have visited the knife section at their local Wal-Mart, which also features big names like Buck, SOG, and Ontario Knife Company, to see what is on offer and handle knives in-person. In places where dedicated knife stores are not available, this will be the place for curious enthusiasts to handle Civivi folders for perhaps the first time. It will also help introduce the company to potential users outside of the dedicated knife community.
In the official press release announcing the partnership, Civivi Marketing Director Seth Ercanbrack says that the company is excited for this new level of visibility. “We’re incredibly proud to see CIVIVI knives on the shelves at Walmart stores nationwide. We want to assure all our customers that the knives now available in Walmart are the same high-quality products that you find elsewhere. We’re committed to maintaining the high standards that our customers expect from us no matter where the products are purchased.”
